 |
As Principal, Mary has overall responsibility
for the running of the school. She takes an active part
in everything from organising examinations
to arranging details of the show. As headmistress of
Roundstone School, she also manages the school's main
buildings at Courtfield House in Trowbridge. |
KATE
CUMMINGS
HEAD OF THEATRE DANCE |
 |
Kate is a former Morphew School of Dance
pupil and her interest in dance led her to becoming a
fully-qualified teacher under the British Ballet Organisation
teacher training scheme. As Head of Theatre Dance, she is responsible for the development of modern dance and
tap dance in the school, and she also takes responsibility for the majority of
modern/tap choreography in shows. |
GILL
DOBROCZYNSKI
HEAD OF BALLET & ADMINISTRATION |
 |
Gill started as a student at the school at the age
of 3 and went on to attend the Hammond School in Chester to study
dance. Unfortunately an injury cut her dancing career short.
After a break, Gill returned to Morphew and qualified under the British
Ballet Organisation's teacher training scheme and has been teaching at
the school since 1999. Her main passion is ballet, especially the
senior ballet. Gill also provides administration support for the
school. She was appointed Head of Ballet in January 2007 following
the departure of Heidi Hunt. |
DIANE SCOTT
TEACHER |
 |
Diane specialises in teaching both tap and ballet to the younger pupils in the school. Her significant experience as a performer is of great benefit when inspiring nervous beginners, and her knowledge of her students abilities helps her choreograph their show dances effectively. Diane manages the Bratton branch as well as teaching a large number of classes in Trowbridge. |
LINDA
SMITH
TEACHER |
 |
Linda was a pupil of the school at the
Chippenham branch. Following training at the Northern
Contemporary Dance School in Leeds, she qualified with
the British Ballet Organisation in 2005. She has gone
back to her roots and now manages the Chippenham branch,
and also teaches in Trowbridge. |
HARRIET DOBROCZYNSKI
STUDENT TEACHER |
 |
Harriet has been dancing since the age of three and has been a pupil at the Trowbridge branch since the age of 8, appearing in every show since! Her most recent performance saw her as the Queen of Hearts in Alice - the school's show in 2007. She has been instrumental in establishing the new Holt branch of the school and teaches there, as well as teaching the modern dance at Derry Hill and classes at Roundstone School. |
